Class 9 is an important stage in students’ lives. Until now, students have gained the general knowledge that will help them in their survival and day today activities. From class 9, students start learning the more profound concepts of each subject. They also need to cover the vast syllabus, which requires a proper study schedule and preparation plan. So, to help students, we have provided CBSE Class 9 exam preparation tips. These tips will guide students to study in the right direction.
Tips to Prepare for Class 9 Exam
Students must go through these tips in detail and must follow them while studying.
1) Be Thorough with the Syllabus
A syllabus is a useful tool for students that provides information on the course structure, exam pattern, marking scheme, etc. By knowing the syllabus, students get to know what topics they have to cover in each subject, and accordingly, they can plan their studies. They can refer to the syllabus to check which topics they have revised during the exam preparation and which needs to be revised.
2) Study from the NCERT Textbooks
After knowing the syllabus, students must begin their studies. They should refer to the NCERT textbooks as these are being suggested by the board. Also, these books are authentic and the most trustworthy resource for students. It’s better if students create their own notes while studying from NCERT Books. For example; while studying the poem of chapter 4 of Class 9 English Beehive Book, writing down the important points will help in creating the lake isle of innisfree summary. Students will get an overview of the complete poem and understand its context by referring to the summary.
3) Make a Proper Study Schedule and Follow It
By following a proper study schedule, students can easily keep track of the topics they have covered and topics they need to study yet. So, they are recommended to create a study plan for themselves. They can allocate time to each subject according to their willingness. If they find a subject difficult, they can give more time to it. But, they should cover all the subjects.
4) Practice More and More Sample Papers
The sample papers come into play during revision. Students must start solving the question papers after completing the entire syllabus. Practicing the questions from the sample papers helps in revision. The best time to practice these papers is 2 months before the annual exams. While solving questions from these papers, students will come across various doubts. So, to clear them, they should first go through the notes created by them, and still, if the doubt persists, they can ask their classmates or teacher. For the subjects like English, just going through the CBSE English Notes For Class 9, students will recall the story/context of the chapter.
If a student is weak in a certain subject and requires in depth understanding, then he/she can dedicate more time to study that subject. Also, they can practice more questions related to the topic to improve their performance. The more students will practice by themselves; the better are their chances of performing well in the exam.
